BUILDLING CHAMPIONS ON THE MAT AND IN LIFE.
For registration information please contact Jody Spears #541-530-8720 or go to Roseburg Mat Club Facebook page.
NEW CONCUSSION PROTOCOL:
During an athlete's first week of the season, the athlete will take a test on the computer called an ImPACT test (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing). The information gained on this test will help in the evaluation process in determining a possible concussion. You can find the complete concussion protocol linked on the right side menu of this page.
SOMSAC LEAGUE
As of Fall 2021, both Fremont and Jo Lane will now be participating in the SOMSAC League (Southern Oregon Middle School Athletic Conference) for all sports.
This league will allow Fremont and Jo Lane to play teams and schools that are similar in size to our middle schools. They also have a strategic plan in place for optimally developing athletes’ skills by grouping players with others who have similar skill sets. This allows coaches to have the opportunity to create practice plans specific to the needs of their team and game schedules will be created with skill sets of teams in mind.
Sixth grade students will still participate through our school programs in cross country, wrestling and track. All football, volleyball and basketball for grade six athletes will continue through outside agencies such as Roseburg Youth Football and the Boys and Girls Club.
